Nuvei acquires Payoneer in sizable transaction

Canadian fintech company Nuvei announced it will acquire Payoneer in an all-cash deal valued at approximately $2.75 billion. The acquisition combines Nuvei’s merchant payment processing capabilities with Payoneer’s global cross-border payments network, creating a broader financial platform for businesses operating internationally. For the ERP channel, the deal is notable because Nuvei already integrates with major ecosystems including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Oracle NetSuite, Acumatica, SAP, Sage, and Infor, potentially expanding global payment and embedded finance capabilities available to customers across those platforms.

Strategically, the deal gives Nuvei greater reach in emerging markets, a stronger regulatory footprint in key regions such as China and India, and enhanced capabilities in fast-growing areas including stablecoin payments, embedded financial services, and AI-driven commerce. Executives from both companies positioned the merger as a way to offer businesses a single platform to accept payments, move money globally, manage multiple currencies, and access treasury and financial services. The transaction has been approved by both boards and is expected to close in mid-2027.
