Acumatica Shifts from Record to Intelligence: New AI Studio and Portals Debut at Summit 2026

Reporting live from Seattle, WA, the Acumatica Summit 2026 Day 2 keynote made it clear that the future of cloud ERP lies in transitioning from a static system of record to a proactive system of intelligence.

Chief Product Officer Jon Pollock  – who formally took the reigns from outgoing CPO Ali Jani – and Chief Engineering Officer Miten Mehta outlined a roadmap heavily focused on AI-first innovation that features practical and customer-driven workflows. The standout strategic shift is the move toward an intelligent business platform. This approach creates a strong foundation for partners to help mid-market clients adapt to complexity through five key pillars that include future-proofing, adaptability, industry specificity, user experience, and AI innovation.

Acumatica’s 2026 Summit keynote introduced product advancements, emphasizing a continuing shift from pure record-keeping to intelligent business operations. These enhancements, largely slated for the 2026 R1 release, align with Acumatica’s five core product pillars: AI-first innovation, future-proofing, adaptability, industry specificity, and user experience.

The product-focused keynote highlighted several features that are either new or are scheduled for imminent general release, including:

  • AI Studio and AI Assistant: These new tools empower customers and partners to configure and apply AI effectively. They facilitate the transformation of business insights into transparent, context-aware, and assistive automation.
  • Modernized User Experience: A streamlined user interface has been rolled out across the platform. This update offers cleaner layouts, faster navigation, no-code personalization, and more consistent workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce user friction.
  • AI-Driven Reporting and Insights: Reporting capabilities are significantly improved with enhanced out-of-the-box reports and proactive AI-powered anomaly detection. This helps teams quickly pinpoint changes, necessary focus areas, and recommended actions.
  • Customer and Vendor Collaborative Portals: New universal login and in-product messaging capabilities integrate account management, notifications, support interactions, and surveys directly into Acumatica. This eliminates the need for email, boosting engagement. Furthermore, businesses can easily deploy AI-powered self-service portals to enrich various services for customers.
  • AI for Customer and Employee Experiences: The introduction of AI agents and AI-assisted workflows is designed to streamline self-service processes, minimize manual effort, and improve response times across sales, customer service, and operations.

Acumatica continues to offer several solutions by industry:

Manufacturing, Distribution, and Retail: New tools like the AI Cross-Sell Assistant, Amazon Sales Profitability dashboards, Order Orchestration Assistant, and Shop Floor Kiosk solutions are designed to boost revenue, enhance fulfillment precision, and provide real-time operational insight

Construction and Professional Services: The platform continues to expand its comprehensive solutions, covering the full lifecycle from estimating and project execution to field service and closeout. Key enhancements include improved project financials, payroll reporting, document management, and AI-powered anomaly detection.

Unified Platform for Hybrid Business Models: Acumatica introduces enhancements that allow organizations with converging business models—such as those blending manufacturing, distribution, retail, and services—to operate smoothly on one cohesive, unified platform.

While some of the demonstrations of AI within Acumatica were clearly conceptual in nature they outline the capabilities that we should expect in the future as well as demonstrate Acumatica’s commitment to keep innovating with AI and features.
