Net at Work Acquires BHE Consulting as Mid-Market ERP Consolidation Continues

  • Net at Work has acquired Massachusetts-based BHE Consulting to enhance its capabilities within the Sage and Acumatica ecosystems.
  • The deal deepens technical expertise in key industries, specifically targeting the construction, manufacturing, and wholesale distribution sectors.
  • BHE founders will remain with the organization to ensure a smooth transition and continued support for their long-standing client base.

Net at Work, one of North America’s largest technology advisors for mid-sized businesses, acquired BHE Consulting yesterday, continuing the consolidation trend in mid-market ERP consulting. BHE, a Boston-area firm founded in 1999 by Greg Archambault and Russ Carey, spent 28 years implementing Sage 100 and 500 and more recently Acumatica for manufacturing, distribution, and construction companies across the Northeast. BHE was a finalist for Acumatica’s 2024 Customer Dedication Award. The deal includes BHE’s proprietary Sage enhancements. Both founders will stay on, and BHE clients gain access to Net at Work’s broader services including HCM, CRM, cybersecurity, and AI.

This trend of VAR mergers and acquisitions is becoming more common, driven by the increasing complexity of technology and the expanding range of offerings clients now expect. We anticipate a continuation of similar deals, as large, established firms actively pursue acquisitions and owners who founded their businesses between 1990 and 2000 look for exit strategies.
