Acumatica Acquires B2B Payments Provider CoreChainTechnologies

  • Acumatica announced the acquisition of payments partner CoreChain Technologies during the Day 1 Keynote at Summit 2026 in Seattle.
  • The deal builds on a partnership launched in April 2023 to bring CoreChain’s blockchain payment network in-house for native ERP financial workflows.
  • This strategic move enables Acumatica to offer embedded supply chain financing directly while continuing to support customer choice through an open marketplace.

During the ongoing Acumatica Summit 2026, held in Seattle, WA, from January 25–28, Acumatica announced the acquisition of CoreChain Technologies, a B2B payments provider. The purchase price and the transaction’s official closing date were not disclosed. The news was shared during the Day 1 Keynote and featured in the official Summit press highlights, with no separate standalone announcement issued for the deal.

CoreChain Technologies, which debuted in September 2020, has processed over $1 billion in B2B payments. The company’s “network of networks” was designed to streamline the financial supply chain by providing “simple and secure digital B2B payments between buyers and their suppliers, leveraging multiple types of digital payments” including Virtual Cards and ACH.

The acquisition builds on a relationship that began when CoreChain established a direct, integrated solution for Acumatica users with the launch of CoreChain Pay on April 5, 2023. This certified application, compatible with Acumatica Version 2023 R1 and later, enabled users to manage invoices, approvals, and payments directly within their ERP system – capabilities that presumably can  now be natively embedded into the Acumatica platform.

Acumatica has made a strategic move by buying CoreChain Technologies, which may turn its business software (ERP) into a financial technology (fintech) platform. By adding CoreChain’s blockchain payment system as a core part of its software, Acumatica can now offer essential financial tools directly, instead of relying on outside partners. This means Acumatica can now easily offer built-in “Supply Chain Finance.” Even though this feature is now native, other partners will likely continue offering similar services, giving customers a choice in a marketplace with multiple options.
