QuickBooks Enterprise is the original, high-end desktop software that Intuit first released in 2002; this is the product sold in tiered bundles like Gold and Platinum. The “Intuit Enterprise Suite” is a separate, much newer cloud-based platform designed for more complex, multi-entity businesses, which was officially launched in September 2024.
What’s it mean? This is a sales channel partnership.
- Intuit (QuickBooks) has a new, higher-end, all-in-one software package called “Intuit Enterprise Suite.”
- The Challenge for Intuit: For decades, businesses that got too big or complex for QuickBooks would “graduate” and leave Intuit for more powerful (and costly) ERP systems like NetSuite, Sage Intacct, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics. Intuit was losing its best customers.
- The Goal: This new “Enterprise Suite” is Intuit’s direct attempt to stop that from happening. They’re trying to build a true, high-end competitor to keep those growing “mid-market” companies in their ecosystem. The “AI-powered” claim is the 2025 buzzword for “it has better automation and reporting.”
- Aprio’s Role: Aprio is a big, “Top 25” accounting firm. Aprio is the first major national accounting and advisory firm selected by Intuit as a flagship reseller and implementation partner for its new mid-market ERP platform, the Intuit Enterprise Suite.
- The “Win-Win”:
- Intuit wins by getting a large, credible accounting firm to sell and install its new, unproven enterprise software. It gives them an instant, specialized sales force.
- Aprio wins because it gets a new, high-margin service to sell. Instead of just managing their clients’ messy “fragmented tech stacks” (25 different apps), Aprio can now sell them one big platform and collect fees for “advisory” and “onboarding” services to set it all up.
The Bottom Line: Intuit is making (yet another) serious play for the “mid-market” businesses it used to lose. They’ve signed Aprio as their first big-name partner to sell and install it for them.
