Sage Veteran Chris Smith Named Chief Revenue Officer at Net at Work

Net at Work, a technology consultancy founded in 1996 that has grown into one of North America’s largest mid-market ERP partners, with practices spanning Sage 100, Sage Intacct, Sage X3, Acumatica, and NetSuite, announced on September, 10, 2026 that Chris Smith is its new Chief Revenue Officer, a promotion from his prior role as the firm’s Sage Intacct Practice Director. Smith takes over a role most recently held by longtime Net at Work executive Seth Ellertson, whose departure from the position was not mentioned in the announcement. The Smith name should ring a bell for anyone who has spent time in the Sage channel. He put in over 16 years at Sage, starting as a CRM sales account executive in 2005 and working up through Director of Mid-Market ERP, Accountants Sales & Operations, where he managed more than $350 million in annual revenue, then Chief of Staff for North America, and finally Vice President of Construction ERP Sales & GTM Strategy before leaving Sage in 2021.
