Former Sage EVP Jennifer Warawa Leaves Quikfee for insightsoftware

Jennifer Warawa, who previously spent almost 12 years as an executive at Sage, announced on LinkedIn that she is departing QuickFee, where she served as president for the past two years. Her next role will be as the general manager of insightsoftware’s controller division.

insightsoftware is a global provider of financial software solutions designed for the Office of the CFO. Their offerings include products for financial planning and analysis, reporting, and other key functions. The company has experienced rapid growth, largely fueled by acquisitions, completing 29 such deals in the last six years. This growth is supported by private equity firms including TA Associates and Hg. With a significant global footprint and over 32,000 customers, insightsoftware aims to be a comprehensive single source for financial software needs. Recent strategic moves include a realignment into four distinct business units—ERP Reporting & BI, EPM, Controllership, and Data & Analytics—and an increased focus on developing AI-powered products.

Insightsoftware’s expansion strategy relies heavily on mergers and acquisitions, organic growth, and strategic alliances. While this growth presents opportunities for market consolidation and cross-selling to their extensive customer base, the company likely faces challenges in effectively integrating acquired technologies and sustaining innovation. Given its trajectory and private equity backing, insightsoftware is potentially being prepared for a future exit event, such as an initial public offering (IPO) or a sale.
