Grant Thornton Advisors acquires MCA Connect

Last month, Grant Thornton Advisors announced an agreement to acquire Denver-based MCA Connect, a consulting and technology firm that specializes in helping manufacturing and distribution companies modernize operations, improve data quality, and implement digital and AI solutions. MCA Connect is a top Microsoft partner with deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Fabric, and Azure, and will continue operating under its own brand as “MCA Connect, a Grant Thornton US company.” The acquisition is intended to strengthen Grant Thornton’s ability to deliver end-to-end transformation services that combine strategy, technology, operations, risk, and AI implementation, particularly for manufacturers facing supply-chain challenges and increasing pressure to adopt AI.

The deal is part of Grant Thornton Advisors’ broader growth strategy following recent acquisitions such as Auxis and Stax and its expansion into a multinational platform spanning nearly 20 markets and approximately 25,000 professionals. About 350 MCA Connect employees are expected to join Grant Thornton after the transaction closes. Grant Thornton believes the acquisition will help clients move more quickly from strategic planning to execution while improving governance around AI adoption, an area where many manufacturers are still early in their maturity despite growing use of AI technologies.
