December saw the news of several new strategic ISV partnerships announced by Pine Services Group.
Most recently, they announced an organizational alignment with business intelligence-based analytics provider, DataSelf. The trend here is that DataSelf integrates with nearly all the ERP solutions represented by Pine’s portfolio, including Sage Intacct, Sage 100, Sage 300, Sage X3, Acumatica, Microsoft Dynamics, and NetSuite.
DataSelf is also included in the Fulfilled by Acumatica program (aka “on the Acumatica price list”).
DataSelf joins a number of newly announced Pine ISV partnerships, many of which, like Arcoro, Lumber, ServiceTitan, and STACK, specialize in the construction industry. Construction is a key vertical for Pine companies like Alliance Solutions Group and ETHOSystems, whose construction roots date back to the Timberline Software days, and many members of the “Pine Grove” list construction as a top vertical they serve.
When taken as a single unit, rather than as individual VARs, Pine’s customer base and volume position them to negotiate more favorable terms with these partners, increasing revenue opportunities for their operating companies at higher margins than most of them could attain on their own.
In addition, Pine’s operating companies are getting exposure to ISV partners that their fellow Pine members have historically favored but with whom they may not have partnered previously.
Chris Milan with Pine is leading the charge on these agreements, and we suspect he’s not done yet! We should see more of this type of announcement in the coming months.
