The lawsuits, involving 23 plaintiffs and high-profile co-defendants like TransUnion and Workday, allege that Salesforce failed to adequately secure its platform, leading to the exposure of sensitive personal information.

While Salesforce maintains that the breaches were not due to vulnerabilities in its own technology but rather social engineering tactics that tricked users into granting access to malicious third-party apps, the plaintiffs are seeking class-action status and argue the company should have had better safeguards in place to detect and block such threats. The stolen data reportedly includes customer names, addresses, and in some cases, partial social security numbers, raising concerns about potential identity theft.
