Aktion Associates, based in Maumee, Ohio, has acquired the Deltek practice of AMR Group, a Toronto-based partner with nearly 38 years of experience serving architecture, engineering, and consulting firms across Canada. The acquisition adds over 100 Deltek customers and integrates the full AMR team into Aktion. The expanded Canadian operation will be led by Dave Mullins, Vice President of Aktion’s Canada Division.
Aktion CEO Scott Irwin described the acquisition as a strong cultural and strategic fit, citing AMR’s knowledgeable team and customer base. Barry Goman, Managing Director of AMR, expressed optimism about the partnership and the ability to deliver enhanced consulting and services under the Aktion umbrella.
The deal further solidifies Aktion’s position as the largest Deltek value‑added reseller in the U.S. and Canada. It also deepens their involvement in the AEC sector, an area already served through partnerships with Deltek, Sage, Acumatica, Infor, and others. The AEC sector refers to Architecture, Engineering, and Construction. It’s an industry classification that covers the planning, design, and construction of buildings and infrastructure.
Aktion says it will continue investing in data tools such as migration, integration, and analytics. Support and delivery for Deltek’s Vision and Vantagepoint customers will be managed through Aktion’s Network Operations Center and related services.
