Endpoint Automation Solutions Overhauls Leadership Following Acquisition

For over three decades, Scanco was a leading name in warehouse and manufacturing automation for the Sage ERP ecosystem. Founded in 1989, the company built its dominant position on a deep integration with Sage 100. Later, under the ownership of Shaun and Tess Boros, Scanco grew even stronger by acquiring key third-party developers. A pivotal move came in August 2017 when Scanco acquired JobOps from Synergistic Software Solutions, the original developers of the popular Sage Manufacturing module for Sage 100. This acquisition, along with others like JDB Solutions and ACS Group, created a comprehensive suite of tools that made the company indispensable to Sage users, but it also forged a brand identity that was tied to that single platform.

The modern era for the company is defined by a private equity-backed pivot away from being a single-ERP specialist. After its acquisition by The Firmament Group in June 2023, the strategy shifted toward expansion. The most critical move was the May 2024 acquisition of WithoutWire Inventory Sciences, a transaction that provided diversification with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for the Microsoft Dynamics and NetSuite ecosystems. To support this new multi-ERP direction, the company changed its name, rebranding to the platform-agnostic Endpoint Automation Solutions in January 2025, and renamed its entire product portfolio to match, with offerings like Endpoint Warehouse and Endpoint Manufacturing.

This transformation culminated in a recent overhaul of the company’s executive team. In April 2025, Kurt Heusner, an executive with a background in scaling large business units at major technology firms like Citrix and Dell, was appointed CEO. His arrival followed the departure of former CEO Andrew Nunez, who led the company for over four years, and was soon accompanied by the July 2025 exits of Chief Operating Officer Andrew Neal, after more than seven years with the firm, and VP of Enterprise Sales Cody Smith, a 13-year veteran—all leaders who had guided the company through its successful Sage-centric era. This complete change in leadership is the clearest signal yet of the new strategy: the era of being a niche player is over, and the focus is now on growth across the Sage, Acumatica, Microsoft Dynamics, and NetSuite platforms.
