Dynamics GP Clients Gain New Support Path Through New VAR Partnership Announcement

In a move that’s drawing attention in the Microsoft ERP world, Stoneridge Software and TruNorth Dynamics announced a strategic agreement to transition TruNorth’s Microsoft Dynamics GP client services to Stoneridge. The deal is designed to give TruNorth customers running GP reliable support now and a clear path forward as Microsoft phases out mainstream support for Dynamics GP by 2029.

Dynamics GP remains a core financial system for many mid-market organizations, but the clock is ticking on its long-term viability. Rather than leaving customers to navigate this period on their own, TruNorth is passing the baton to a partner with deep GP expertise. According to TruNorth’s leadership, the motivation behind the transition is simple: clients should be with partners who are truly focused on their current technology stack and future needs.

For its part, Stoneridge brings extensive experience supporting Dynamics GP customers. The company will now handle ongoing application support, licensing guidance, cloud readiness assessments, and planning for eventual migration to Microsoft’s cloud platforms such as Dynamics 365 Business Central or Finance. Stoneridge’s CEO framed the transition as meeting clients where they are today – supporting their current GP environment – while helping them prepare for whatever modernization path makes sense for their business.

To help organizations navigate this period of change, Stoneridge is also offering advisory resources, such as hands-on migration assessments and planning events focused on GP modernization and cloud strategy. These tools are meant to help companies weigh options, understand timing, and make confident decisions about their next steps.

Overall, this collaboration underscores how partners in the Microsoft ecosystem are working together to ensure continuity of service for established ERP users, especially as the broader shift to cloud-based platforms accelerates.
