This new chapter is steered by current majority owner Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (WCAS), who acquired the company on November 11, 2020, from Accel-KKR, which retained a minority interest.

However, the foundation for this aggressive growth was laid by Accel-KKR starting in 2012 when it acquired Accellos. Accel-KKR strategically grew the business, acquiring HighJump Software and later splitting the company to create a focused TrueCommerce division, which it continued to build through acquisitions like Datalliance and ecUtopia, ultimately growing revenues 19x.

After the 2020 sale, WCAS continued the playbook, installing Operating Partner Randy Curran as CEO in 2022 and acquiring B2BGateway and DiCentral to further expand TrueCommerce’s B2B commerce network capabilities and global reach.
