Pine’s Latest Strategic Partnership Announced

Chris Milan appears to be a man on a mission in his newly appointed role as VP of Strategic Partnerships at Pine Services Group. On the heels of announcing strategic partnerships with software publishers ServiceTitan and STACK, Pine has announced yet another formalized relationship to advance the efforts of its operating companies.

While the majority of ERP resellers in Pine’s community already have independent partnerships with our friends in orange, the formalized relationship with sales tax compliance automation industry leader Avalara will likely change the terms of those partnerships in favor of Pine’s operating companies, as they will now collectively represent a higher volume of Avalara business than they did as individual organizations. This would theoretically elevate their partner tier with Avalara.

Pine’s model of acquiring companies and allowing them to operate independently differs from the common practice of smaller VARs being rolled into larger VARs, which would inherently lead to the aforementioned tier changes. It’s interesting to see Pine being recognized as a single entity for the purposes of publisher partnership terms.
