In a blog article published on March 9, 2026, Acumatica gave Ali Jani a platform to recap his 15-year history with the company and discuss where he sees things headed under the guidance of the new CPO, Jon Pollock.
While Pollock taking over the role was officially confirmed during the day two keynote at Acumatica Summit in January, which we discussed on Enterprise Software Podcast Episode 199, it was still a little unclear what Jani’s future role would be – if any.
Jani started with Acumatica in 2009, just a year or so after it was founded. In the article, he praises his successor and expresses excitement about the platform’s future and AI-based strategy, emphasizing the need for autonomy in AI processes and AI governance.
So what now for Jani? In the post, he thanks the community and says that while he is saying goodbye in his “official capacity”, he will always be an “enthusiastic Acumatica Ambassador”. So there you have it…? We suspect we haven’t seen the last of him, and we’ll be keeping an eye out for him on the dance floor, “ambassadoring” at Summit in 2027!
